The food is absolutely delicious and you get more than your money's worth! My coworkers and I love ordering take-out from them. The decor is pretty sweet as well, much nicer than your average Mexican dining.

Best authentic Mexican food in town. Awesome salsa. Love the shrimp soft shell tacos. Extensive menu, lots of great dishes to try. Great service...and fast!

Disagree with most postings.. They own another place in Lakeville. This place may have run of the mill meat (for tacos) but their salsa and other items are made fresh. You need to try their grilled meats (in your tacos, burritos, and other items) as they are known for their Veracruz style seafood; you will be happier. Next time try the pork carnitas tacos or the grilled shimp tacos for $8.00 you can't go wrong. Chicken enchiladas Veracruz are also good. This is pretty authentic; americans are used to tex-mex flavor but these folks cook veracruz style to me. I don't like peppers, but the fajitas look great and people say they are fantastic. It's always crowded so they are drawing repeat business.

We eat her quite often. If not at this location, we go to the Lakeville one...but this one is by far our favorite. We have sampled a lot off of the menu, but the Texas fajitas are by far our favorite. If we order them for 2 as well as an appetizer, it is more than enough for my husband, 9 year old and myself. I do not think we have had a single bad meal here, staff is always super friendly and quick! Their chips and salsa are always wonderful and drinks huge!

Came here Wednesday night and it was not busy at all. I was impressed with the speed of service, and almost thought twice about eating the food since it came out too fast, but it was delicious. Had the carne asada, and while not the type of carne asada I am used to back in LA, it was still good, but particularly I liked the rice and beans. I was happy that chips and salsa were complimentary. The price range at this location is great for what you get. The flan is more of a dark flan; it is not my favorite type, but it was still good if you prefer a more caramel flavor.

A good one. So many Mexican restaurants have pre-made everything into mushy messes and then chop all the " fresh" stuff hours in advance. Teresa's does it right and uses higher quality ingredients, from seafood, to beef, pork and chicken. There's a reason it's always pretty busy. It's worth the drive from Hastings to have "good" Mexican food.

I did not have high expectations but was still disappointed. I got a lunch special which was reasonably priced- 1 enchilada, 1 flauta, 1 beef taco. Enchilada was fine, flauta was interesting, the oil it was fried in tasted funny and it was flattened, the beef taco I couldn't eat, I think it had been assembled or at least the meat was placed in the shell much earlier because when I picked it up the bottom disintegrated and the insides fell out. I tried to eat it. The bottom part of the taco was soggy, supper gross. Chips were substandard as was the salsa. Everything was bland including the atmosphere. Never again. what a waste of a food opportunity.

I have only been once for dinner on the patio. I had alambres with steak and it was scrumptious. If you order this dish I prefer it with the tortillas on the side. I would have been happy with just their delicious rice. Go here, eat here, be somebody.

I'm not too big of a Mexican food person, but when i want Mexican food, I want it and I want it now. Teresa's just happened to be super close to me and I had passed by it on my daily commute hundreds (maybe thousands?) of times. It was time to take the plunge. I'm not the most discerning when it comes to authentic vs not authentic. I frankly don't know, and am not going to fake it. What I do know is flavor, and this place has it-- and not the flavor of microwaved cheese and salt. I was on cloud nine as I endulged in the Tres Marias Enchiladas (my mouth may be watering writing this review.). They included three enchildadas with three different salsas. My friend ordered the California Burrito and this isn't one for the faint of heart, it looked as if it would be able to serve a family of 4, but he dusted it off no problem. I highty recommend Teresa's and will defintely be back.

I have been coming here for lunch since it first ooened. I used to work nearby so I have had many meals here over the years. It just occurred to ne today as I was finishing my chicken enchilada that I have NEVER had a meal or service here that was less than superlative! I reccall questioning, when it first opened, if a Mexican restaurant would be able to make a go if it in Mendota Heights. But in the time since, I have seen several expansions and improvements, with no compromise to quality.

Myself and my family have been going here for a while now. The first couple of times the food was amazing. Then the food became really salty. To the point where I couldn't finish it. Today was our last time eating there. Not only was the food bad, but as we were sitting there my wife watched the waiter blow his nose and put the tissue in his shirt pocket. Then preceeded to wipe his face with his hands pick up the customers plate and bring it to them. So disgusted

Wow...epic fail today! Ordered two tacos hard shell supreme style...didn't think that was complicated. Received one taco, no supreme. Sent back only to receive two tacos soft shell, no supreme. Shaking my head. Sent back a third time, only to receive two hard shell tacos, yet still no supreme. After that I gave up. Then the bill came with the correct two tacos hard shell supreme style. Can't make this stuff up. Lesson : better luck getting tacos at Taco Bell than this place. Can I give 0 stars???

Teresa's is a great place for some quick and delicious Mexican food. We usually stop there for the lunch specials, where I would order the special burrito. The dish is great, as it is steamy, hot, and filling. Not too sure what I am really eating most of the time, but that is the surprise with these dishes. There are about 15 lunch options and most look the same. Customer service is fairly decent and the environment is calm and casual. Overall, it is a great place to enjoy with your co-workers during lunch.

Absolutely incredible food. Super flavorful, the rice and beans are out of this world, burritos are huge so expect leftovers! Chipotle steak burrito is fantastic, great spice level. Lightning fast service, fresh salsa, and excellent cheese dip. The wife and I eat here a few times a month and will continue to do so!

I'm going to just admit right here and right now that I wouldn't be able to tell if the food here is authentic because; 1.) I'm only a quarter Mexican and grew up eating white chicken enchiladas. I'm 97% sure those aren't authentic. Way to embrace your heritage, Mom. 2.) I've never been to Mexico. 3.) This place is always packed to the gills with white people. 4.) A real chalupa is not what I expected. At all. Not even a little bit. 5.) Now can't tell the difference between a chalupa and a tostada. But the food rocks so who cares, right? I've come here a LOT over the past year. At first, Sam and I were a wee bit cautious about even trying this place because they have a huge -HUGE- menu. Well, and we watched Restaurant Impossible frequently which tainted our ability to choose somewhere to eat in a timely manner. Damn you, Robert Irvine! I'm glad we finally took the dive. I've had a lot of different dishes here and maybe only one of them I didn't care for. If I recall correctly it was tamale's with mole. The tamale was dry and the mole just didn't have good flavor. Onto the good, though.. The Nachos San Jose' are 100% the best nachos that have ever graced my hungry lips. The chips were fresh and crisp, smothered in cheese sauce and topped with grilled chicken, chorizo, grilled onions, more cheese, sour cream and fresh cilantro. I NEEDED these in my life. I'm contemplating objectum-sexualism. Unfortunately, they don't stick around long enough. Typical. The other food is awesome, too, but the nacho... Oh, Man, the nachos... Another great aspect is that the food has color. It doesn't look like it was flopped out of a can. The veggies are vibrant and crisp, the sauces aren't all the same weird shade of red-brown. It makes everything so much more appetizing. Compared to the grey scale platters of La Preferida refried bean soup and rice with a frozen veggie mix in it, (I question authenticity when there are cut green beans in my rice... I'm lookin' at you Las Margaritas.. *shakes head disapprovingly*..) It almost looks like a piece of art. Devourable art. Delicious art... The staff are plentiful here and always working and keeping the restaurant clean. I doubt I've seen a table go un-bussed for more than a couple minutes. The floors are kept clean throughout the night so they don't get sticky or slippery. Even better is that the manager is always on the floor working along side the staff. He's not a big d-bag acting like he runs the place, going table to table like he's buddies with everyone and handing out business cards. Teresa's runs like a well oiled machine, and even with a huge line waiting to be seated because the house is full, everything seems to go smoothly. It's a laid back feeling kind of place that you can eat and then chat for a bit without feeling rushed (Sorry suckas waiting in line). This is our go to(frequently) place to be "cultured" omnomnomnivores.

My husband and I were starving after spending a few hours at the hospital, monitoring my pregnancy after something just didn't feel right. Turns out I didn't have enough Teresa's in my life. (my baby turned out being just fine!) Picked up a prescription ay Walgreens and looked at the place longingly. After moving from Denver, CO about a year ago, we still had yet to find a good Mexican place in this sadly mild, unseasoned-tasting state! We decided to do it after reading a few reviews, and seeing that the place was jumping with business. We got sat outside within a few minutes, I ordered the build your own combo with Tamale, enchilada, and Chile Rellano. It was not the best Rellano I've had but it was satisfying and cheesy. The tamale was dry, but hey, I knew I was taking a chance after I saw a few yelpers say the same thing. I loooooove me a good tamale. My husband got the Pollo Chihuahua and he said it was delish. Service was great, chips and salsa beforehand took a bit but they were slammed! Chips were beautifully crispy and warm. Really excited to have found a decent Mexican place we can go to right up the street. We will be back.....before we move back to Denver, that is! We had a great time at Teresa's.

So... yes. I'm still mildly annoyed with the awful (and overpriced) margaritas. But honestly, everything here makes up for it from the stellar service to the efficiently prepared, delicious food. In a place where there are eight hundred thousand Mexican restaurants to choose from, we usually find ourselves here. That's saying something. Admittedly, it's nothing super fancy. You'll find a few dishes on the menu that are standouts (the Flaming Cheese Fajitas that actually come to you on fire) but all the standard fare you'd expect is here. One thing that I found through experience that I feel is worth noting is that they don't offer a lunch special menu on weekends. During the week, however, they have lunch size entrees at great prices that come out very quickly. It would be a great (and cheap) place to spend your lunch break if you're short on time. Don't be put off by the huge menu like I initially was. I guess there really are some places that can pull this off without the quality suffering. One of the huge standouts is actually on the appetizer menu. Teresa's Favorite Dip is now, coincidentally, my favorite too. It's a large appetizer (it could actually work as an entree if you're feeling adventurous) and all the individual components in the dip are cooked very well. The shrimp were juicy and tender, the steak and chicken were flavorful and well-cooked and the cheese sauce is something I could suck through a straw if my arteries weren't such picky little bastards about stuff like that. Does this place break any molds? Nope. But the quality is consistent, the place is very clean and the food is solid.

This review has me feeling like the teacher who has to give the brilliant, gregarious, likable student a "C" because they don't turn in their homework. The people here were so nice, and the service so good. Alas, I just don't have a lot of good to say about the food and drinks, though in fairness and full disclosure: 1) I came here to catch some Vikings pre-season ball; 2) I sat in the bar and ordered off the appetizer menu; and 3) I moved here after 40 years in southern California, and have had a lot of really good Mexican food at a range of restaurants, from high to low. I am not a food snob, and can appreciate a meal from the humblest hole-in-the-wall mom & pop shop, to linen tablecloth operations. I don't wax on about "authenticity", or even look for anything super innovative; I just like simple, well-prepared dishes with fresh, decent-quality ingredients. I just wish Teresa's had given me SOMETHING I could have been more positive about. Weak margaritas made with overly sweet bottled mixers, cheese that tasted like it was squeezed from a tube. Poppers, taquitos and chimichangas that tasted like boxed microwave fare. Actually, thinking back on it, props for the guacamole; that was fresh and well-prepared. It's a fairly inexpensive place, but I can't help but feel that if they upped the quality of the ingredients/food just a little bit, and charged a bit more, Teresa's could really fly. Strip mall location. Nice on the inside. GREAT bar area - awesome place to catch a game. Nice patio dining area as well. Anyway, I'm not so burned on the place that I wouldn't go back. I'll have to try a real meal next time, something besides appetizers.

The food is decent but communications are not! I asked for onions for my burrito and they brought me a huge bowl of onions and charged me $1.00. I've never been charged for onions so when I asked about it either they could not understand me or I wasn't understanding them...

Food is decent but not great. Mole sauce was really salty. Beef tacos were tasty but not exceptional. However, service here is always outstanding. It's super fast, wait staff is very attentive. They also have a full bar and good selection of Mexican beers.

I've eaten here a dozen times plus... have never been disappointed with the food, the service, or the experience overall. Would highly recommend any of the fajitas, or my favorite the Lindo's special. The guacamole is spectacular and fresh house-made, I will never get sick of their simple beans & rice, it's quick and not unreasonably priced, and the complimentary warm chips & salsa just do me in :)

This place seems pretty good for a Tex-mex style mexican restaurant. Its much bigger inside than anticipated, the bar area looked nice. Service was really good, margaritas were decent, and the food was pretty good. Warning though; the fajitas for 2 are actually fajitas for 6! Seriously, it was a ton of food!! Overall; good for a cheap mexican food and margarita fix. I will be back, but hopefully with a bigger appetite prepared next time!

The place was pretty full on this bitter cold evening. I ordered the tres Marias. Junior, our waiter, gets right down to it. Basil wasn't ready to order so he took mine and put it in. Right after he orders he comes out with my stuff. 3 beef enchiladas, tender as all get out. There wasn't enough time to burn or toughen them. 3 different sauces on them I started with the green, went to the cheese, both really good. The last was red that I shared and it's not my favorite. I like the red sauce at Pepitoes best. Alex, the manager comes over and checks in. He actually recognized us from Los Morelos. I was saying how much I missed it, and remembered the good customers we were. Talk about making our night. He told us the owner got out before the economy collapsed, had been here 30 years, and went back to Mexico with the money he made. That's an American dream story I love.

Wow a winner for quality of food and service. The food pricing is moderate and easy on the pocket book. Luncheon menu is large and offers a customer a chance to test the food items choices at a fair price. Wait staff was spot on for service and followup during our visit. Best new Mexican place for us in 2012. Mendota Heights location is where we visited, I believe the other two area twin city locations will provide the same service and food quality.

I met my family for dinner at Teresa's on Saturday night. This place is pretty non-descript and located in a strip mall. It was already pretty crowded when we got there at 5:00. The menu is huge and there are tons of things to choose from. My hubby and I decided to share the Moctazuma Molcajete, which is a lava pot full of meat and veggies that comes with a side of beans, rice, guac and sour cream. This version of the molcajete came with shrimp, beef, chicken and chorizo along with mushrooms, cactus, and zucchini. The flavors were great, but we were disappointed that there were only 3 shrimp and one mushroom in the whole pot. It was almost entirely chicken. Another frustration was that this huge pot came with only three tortillas and they charge $1 for extra tortillas. There is no way you could eat even 1/4 of what is in the pot with 3 tortillas, it seemed pretty wimpy. My parents ordered the seafood molcajete and let me try their tilapia. It was delicious and had a really nice breadcrumb crust.

Love it!!! Salsa is too spicy but I'm Midwestern through and through. Love the happy hour and love!!! the waitstaff and bartenders. I've had one bad experience in the numerous times I've been there... I'll take those odds. Dangerous that I live so close!

I think Teresa's is great, and disagree with some reviewers who complain that things taste the same. Try the grilled meat dishes - certainly not your grandmother's Chi-Chi's. Once you get beyond the burrito and taco plates (although the Tacos al Pastor are terrific), you head into a different style of Mexican than what most Minnesotans grew up with. Service is always very attentive, although I sometimes wish they food would not arrive so quickly so I could enjoy our margaritas and chips longer! Fernando runs a great restaurant and, no, the food does not originate in the microwave.

I absolutely love Teresa's I don't know if it's authentic, but it is good, The salsa and chips are worth the trip alone. The prices are very cheap, my wife, son and I can eat with tip for under $30. I usually go for the Carnitas and it is a solid choice, I have tried other things on the menu and have been satisfied every time. We have been to Teresa's about 6 times and it is one of our favorite "Mexican" restaurants, easily in the Twin cities and even after living in Texas for 3 years. This place can get crowded and the seating is tight but this is easily overlooked after you are served your wonderful food.

Low expectations. I didn't have very high expectations going here. I've heard mixed reviews from Yelp and friends, so I didn't expect much. I hadn't been there since it changed to Teresa's. The remodel looks great compared to Ziggy's. We were seated in a booth and given chips and salsa and ordered some drinks. It was a Saturday afternoon lunch, but I'd been working all morning and need a little pick me up. Drinks came quickly. My dining companion ordered 3 tacos off the ala cart menu and I got the lunch size taco salad with chicken. Food and chip and salsa refills came quickly. My salad was on the smaller side, which is fine. I'd eaten a bunch of chips already. My salad had a good combo of beans, chicken, lettuce, cheese and some sour cream and guac. It was decent for $6. I did not eat the shell, but it looked to be fried and very delicious. My dining companion said his tacos were okay, he likes the ones at another local chain better. I would go here again for lunch, but thought the dinner prices were a bit high. Heck, a bowl of soup is $6.75 and wasn't too big. The place was really busy when we left, I was surprised. Overall, a good choice if in the area, but don't expect anything too authentic.

Very good vegetarian Mexican food. We've been to several places and this was (so far) the best one. The vegetable fajitas were delicious: lots of different veggies sizzling on the plate, and they gave us both corn and flour tortillas without a fuss. Delicious top-shelf margaritas. The salsa reached the perfect balance between too watery and too thick, and the chips were great. I'll be back!

As an earlier reviewer wrote, it may not be authentic, but it is good. I really like the food here - the salsa is awesome, the margaritas are great and the service is excellent. The time from order to food at your table is occasionally super natural. The only down side I have experienced is that it gets really crowded and that the kid's meal options are a bit limited and not nearly as much attention is paid to the kids meals as the adults. Its worth checking out - especially if you ever went to the hot dog joint this place used to be - a more complete transformation you may never see.

Popped in to Teresa's for a to-go order as craving some nachos. (Chicken, black beans, cheese) This was not to be found on Teresa's menu - they had many different "fancy" nachos, but nothing like what I would consider a basic, chicken nacho option. Ended up with the chicken and chorizo nachos which were a-ok. I did ask them to add beans and they were very accommodating. Nachos do not travel well, so it is not there fault that the chips were totally soggy. They did have a nice taste if they were the same one as the bag of chips that came with my order. Will I go back - probably; however I don't think I'll do nachos again.

Great food, service and location. Very family friendly. My kids love the quesadillas. I am a vegetarian and they have a wide variety for me to choose from. Sometimes I order ahead on my way home from work and pick it up - very convenient. Every time I go, I suggest they put black beans on the menu (they only serve refried beans). I hope some day they will add them to the menu. (Teresa, if you're reading this, do us veg-heads a solid!) Then I'll give it 5 stars!

I've been here a couple of times but the others were during the week for a lunch special which is good food for a great price. We went for Mother's Day and the service was awesome both the server and the speed that the food came out of the kitchen. The portions were HUGE. I had the California Burrito that I paid the upcharge for carnitas and it was yummy for lunch on Sunday and leftovers on Monday! My sisters ordered the fajitas for two and they could have easily shared a serving for one. My Mom loved her chimichanga and our friend, her pork tacos that tasted just like the ones she loved in Mexico. The white cheese dip on the appetizer menu was also good. Here's the deal, it's not "fancy". It's flavorful Mexican food with fantastic service in a clean restaurant for reasonable prices. We'll be back.

I've eaten at Teresa's in Lakeville a few times now and will definitely keep coming back. Their Vegetarian Combo E is my go to order whenever I'm craving Mexican food. Their chips and salsa aren't anything special but I'm rarely wowed by the chips and salsa anywhere so I don't consider that much of a con. The service is quick, the servers are friendly, and being able to order a jumbo margarita never hurts either!

By far my favorite Mexican restaurant. There hasn't been a single menu item I didn't like. Love their salsa! The prices are great, service is good. It's sad that they don't have good restaurants like these in Texas!! Will definitely make this a priority visit when I'm back in the area!

Update from a recent visit: We have had excellent entrees at Teresa's every time we've gone. Tonite, however, we had a big disappointment. My Dad got the Alambre with steak and bacon and, wow, was it greasy. The grease just pooled all over the tortillas. The waitress explained that it was because of the bacon, which apparently is a very greasy variety. The meal was not really edible as it was. We still like Teresa's but we're not ordering anything with bacon in it anymore. One bad entree out of dozens is not going to turn us against Teresa's, but, please!! Get better bacon or at least drain the grease before serving! Yuck!

We tried Teresa's the same weekend we moved to West St. Paul and have been there several times in the few months we have lived here. The menu is varied and contained several dish I had not heard of like "el ambre", which is delicious. One thing I have noticed at most Mexican restaurants is that the sides are plain. The sides are actually given attention at Teresa's and are quite tasty!!

Pretty yummy. I had Vegetarian Option A (bean burrito, cheese enchilada, and chalupa). My bean burrito was wonderful, but the enchilada and the chalupa were just okay. I enjoyed the free chips and salsa. I like the different sized beer options. The chalupa didn't last well for reheating the next day... I will be back to try other burritos!

I'm a big fan of Mexican food and I love trying new places so when my sweetie suggested Teresa's I was all for it. Since I've only been here once I'll keep this brief and expound on it later. Warm chips and fresh salsa are expected and Teresa's delivers. I always ask the server to bring the extra hot salsa and our server was fast on the return trip. Ice tea with lemon please... I don't have clue what Jennifer ordered because when I got back from the washroom I was greeted by an enormous plate of Changa Marina. The whole damn thing was covered by this slightly spicy and amazingly delicious, velvety cheese sauce. Dug in right away and the shrimp, onions, peppers and mushrooms were all piping hot and seasoned to perfection. I would have preferred a higher shrimp to veggie ratio but I understand the economics involved. All of this wrapped in a deep fried flour tortilla was eye rolling-ly good. I had to take half of it home and it was still moan inducing later. So much for brevity.

My first real restaurant stop in Minnesota. Forgive me for not getting a juicy lucy to kick things off. Its just that I was really hungry and the mobile Yelp app suggested this place. It is such a joy to find quality Mexican food in places I didn't expect. The place is nicer place than a taco shop and serves dishes you would find on real peoples dinner tables or in nice restaurants further south. The server greeted me in Spanish, caught herself and then was surprised to hear me reply in more than respectable Spanish. Just being able to order and carry on a light conversation in Spanish made me feel that much closer to home in Southern California. I had the carnitas with salsa verde, which can often be kind of plain. Not here brother. It had a nice fire to it which brought a satisfying smile to my face. The plan was to eat half and save the rest for lunch the next day. Oh well, I had make new plans for lunch. A very pleasant surprise indeed. I thought I would get a taco shop from the reviews. What I found instead was a nice restaurant with full service and food that is muy authentico. Provecha lo!

Prices are slightly lower than your Don Pablos and Chevy's chains yet the food quality is noticeably better and fresher. Environs in a Mendota Heights strip mall and ambiance are un-pretentious and not sexy, which may be off-putting to those mentally enslaved to imaginary popularity contests. I kind of like the non-descript, absence of noisy cliche Mexican restaurant motif, ambiance in a Mexican restaurant. A kind of breath of fresh air, little more normal and low key feeling, and probably in Mexico, though I never been, I think they probably serve food in dining rooms that just look kind of normal;.. that is, without faux adobe ornamentation or sombreros on the wall. Not a huge huge fan of Mexican restaurants (to me it all taste like pretty good same plate of mush), but am already looking forward to another visit to Teresa's after my first time there today. I've gone on occasions to three different independent Mexican restaurants (one being Boca Chica in St. Paul) with expectations of "oh this will be noticeably better and more "authentic" tasting than what I get at the chains" only to have it taste like the chains. Through let down I learned not to have that expectation (formed out of naivete, imagination, and hype/prevalent social disposition to want to discredit big restaurant chains), but here at Teresa's, to my delightful surprise, a noticeable difference in quality and tastiness is what I encountered with the food. Support Teresa's, I'd like to have it stick around.

I enjoyed my meal here more than the other reviewers. We stopped in on a weekend and just made the lunch specials. I had a fajita with beef and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The beef wasn't fatty and it wasn't jerky. I have been to many places where I am practically tearing the beef away from my teeth like a dog with a pigs ear - and that was not my experience here. I was impressed with the variety offered on their menu. My only complaint was that we were seated in a booth next to the kitchen. It was noisy and kind of a crappy seat. It would be nice if they put a partition up for this booth to lend it a little privacy and so I am not staring alternately at the cooks in the kitchen and at the white board with the skull and crossbones on it. Other than the booth we were seated in, we both really enjoyed our meal and will be back to try other items on the menu.

Run of the mill, almost-from-frozen food. I had a combination meal including a beef burrito, beef taco and enchilada ... they all tasted exactly the same. The same ground beef mixture was used in each. Also the red sauce tasted more like a marinara sauce. I ordered a side of refried beans, which was only adequate. As a previous reviewer stated, all of the food was over-salted. My lunch partner ordered a taco salad, served in the smallest fried tortilla bowl I have ever seen. He said it tasted good, however. Even though the meal was generally disappointing, it only cost less than $19 for the both of us. You get what you pay for. We probably won't be back. There are too many legitimate and authentic Mexican alternatives in St. Paul to have to settle for Theresa's.

Host was nice, food, not so much.

Great mexican food, fair value.

Extensive use of salt to mask the use of stale, overcooked ingredients. The meat was so over cooked I could not tell if it was beef or pork. It just had a vague Mexican-food flavor to it. The tamale seemed to have both beef and pork. It was drowned in a salty, brown, possibly beef sauce and had a vaguely pork-like meat filling. On my one visit, service was fast and the prices were low. They have a full bar. From the size of the work day lunch crowds, this is a popular lunch spot for the suburban office crowd. The only thing really wrong with this restaurant is the food.

Love the food at Tereasa's. The salsa and chips always taste fresh. The menu reflects great authentic mexican- tons of options. I enjoy the option to add their cheese dip atop of any entree. Also the service is top notch-- they are so quick!

Love the place. Quick, good food, space to move around, often have the games on TV. Didn't love the mole, but everything else is quite good.

Zippy service...the staff to customer ratio is near 1:1 at times (the place is still busy). Recommend the Huevos Rancherso and Tacos al Pastor. Place is authentic....

Not the most authentic Mexican food in the area, but it is one of the best overall Tex-Mex restaurants for the whole family. Teresa's has fresh chips and salsa, good drinks, kid's meals, good quality and variety of meals, and decent service.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(4)Katie C.
(5)Saby K.
(3)Dave A.
(4)Erin B.
(1)Jim J.
I have only been once for dinner on the patio. I had alambres with steak and it was scrumptious. If you order this dish I prefer it with the tortillas on the side. I would have been happy with just their delicious rice. Go here, eat here, be somebody.
(5)Luke W.
My wife and I frequent often! You won't find a harder working staff who are always friendly. The food menu is incredible with great drink specials. Easy on the wallet too. Hands down best Mexican in the area

Chip and salsa are yummy and the enchiladas are best I ever had very ethentic

(5)Trolltaker ..
(5)John K.
(1)Nick A.

(4)Andy T.
(5)Jenny A.

First time here. Ordered the spicy El Toro, absolutely fabulous!! Loved the burst of flavors. Service was outstanding start to finish, I'll be a frequent visitor...

Food was delicious so many options looking forward to going back and trying something different when i visit again
(5)Paula K.
They have the most amazing Flaming Cheese Fajitas EVER!!! Great food, you won't be disappointed!
(5)Leslee C.
My family and I used to eat at the Mendota Heights location several times a month until my mom and I both got terrible food poisoning last month. We both were sick for 4 days!
(2)Samuel W.
So...

(3)Renee M.
The food is decent but communications are not! I asked for onions for my burrito and they brought me a huge bowl of onions and charged me $1.00. I've never been charged for onions so when I asked about it either they could not understand me or I wasn't understanding them...
(2)Gary S.
Food is decent but not great. Mole sauce was really salty. Beef tacos were tasty but not exceptional. However, service here is always outstanding. It's super fast, wait staff is very attentive. They also have a full bar and good selection of Mexican beers.
(3)Ana T.
(5)Crystal S.
(4)Sara P.
Open until 10 w full menu sun-th. 11pm weekends. My date loved the fish tacos. I loved my ginormous margarita. Did I mention we had just driven 10 hours? And I was tired and cranky!
(4)Rhonda G.
(4)John E.
(5)Liz G.
Cheap food, great service and delicious chips and salsa. Awesome fajitas and good guacamole.
(4)Kim R.
(3)Annie S.
Love it!!! Salsa is too spicy but I'm Midwestern through and through. Love the happy hour and love!!! the waitstaff and bartenders. I've had one bad experience in the numerous times I've been there... I'll take those odds. Dangerous that I live so close!
(5)Mike S.
Very good! Way better than El Laro I will be back for more. Simple, good service good food all three times I have been there.
(4)Joe N.
(4)Mike M.
(5)Lisa M.
(3)R K.
We had Taco Salads. Both came with"melted" sour cream and "warm" refried beans!!!! The shredded lettuce was warm. DISCUSTING! Manager would not adjust the bill. Won't ever be back!!!!
(1)Melinda C.
Very very bland. No flavor or spice. Salsa & shredded beef were good. Nice atmosphere- all day HH on weds. Service is decent. Wouldn't come back for dinner. HH yes.
(1)Stephanie S.
(4)Victor M.
i have eaten at this Teressa 2 times now and compared to th one in golden valley it is not as good.. the staff was amazing and fast. The beer was so cold it made my teeth hurt!!. I am a fan!! The food is not the same as the golden valley location.. i think the cheff is not as good and should take notes from the other cheff
(5)Joe I.
(4)Karin M.
(3)Kate D.
(4)Crystal K.
(5)Ashley L.
(4)Numbers D.
By far my favorite Mexican restaurant. There hasn't been a single menu item I didn't like. Love their salsa! The prices are great, service is good. It's sad that they don't have good restaurants like these in Texas!! Will definitely make this a priority visit when I'm back in the area!
(5)Lindsay S.
Terea's never let's my husband and I down! Great service and even better food! Everything I have tried, I have loved. Went to another Mexican restaurant and it didn't even come close to comparing.
(5)Tamara T.
